Dale's Story
Life
Currently I live in Tigard, OR. Which is a suburb of Portland. My former wife & I moved here in late 2005 from Billings, MT, where I owned my own home. Plus I was close enough that I could spend time with my folks.
I had the Navy R.O.T.C. scholarship to go to college after I graduated M.C.H.S., but dislocating my knee during the summer of '84 made me lose my scholarship. After graduating I took a few months to look at what I wanted to do. I started working for a store in the Manhattan Village mall in December '85. I worked my way to being a roving manager for the company. In '87 I got into security work and did that until I was hit by a car on the job. In the mean time I started taking classes at El Camino. cided I wanted to go to an out of state college. I did a year's worth of studies at Eastern Montana College, (Montana State University, Billings). During that time I met my soon to be wife Dana. (Now former wife.) Currently she works as a product support specialist for a software company. I do a couple different small "jobs". I do private one on one computer consulting and I also build custom furniture and smaller items.
Unfortunately, that car hitting me did enough damage to one of my legs that I am considered "disabled". Well, life has it's bad as well as the good. I enjoy living in Oregon. There is one thing I really miss about Southern California that I just can't do here is go scuba diving. The water is just too cold. Even wearing a drysuit won't cut it since the waves & coastline are too violent.
